Ripping and burning are few of the most common terms when we are dealing with DVD’s. These terms are related to transmitting the data from and into the DVD storage medium. Lets discuss these terms separately with a little bit of logical detail.

The term ripping is referred to extracting data from the DVD medium to the hard disk or some other storage device. Ripping is mostly done while extracting the digital audio, digital video or both of them into some other storage medium. There are several DVD copying software that we feature for this purpose. Ripping can also be performed to extract the data as par your need. If you want to rip a DVD movie to be copied in a CD, you can rip it as a low resolution video and then burn it on CD. Similarly the audio can be manipulated as well in the ripping procedure. Ripping can also be used to create DVD backup.

The term ‘burning’ in DVD media is reoffered to copying digital data into a blank DVD. Similarly those DVD-Rom drives which have the capability of adding data to a blank DVD are referred as DVD Burners or DVD copying devices. You can burn a data in several ways according to you need. If there is some bootable pc software needed to be added in DVD, then simply burning DVD with that data won’t be enough. There is best DVD copying software which creates bootable DVD with that data.
