USB memory cards have changed the way in which we save data. We can now use these small devices on cameras, mobile phones, computers, gaming console controls, MP3 players, and more, safely and securely. To help you understand this technology product better, we wanted to dissect the name. We all know the memory stick is amazing, but what exactly does USB stand for? The answer is Universal Serial Bus, which is a high-speed connection that has become standard technology for most computers on the market today. With this port, a connector such as a memory stick would be inserted allowing you to save information or link to different products to include cameras, PDAs, and audio players. As you can imagine, file saving and sharing has never been easier.

To accomplish the saving/sharing task, you would choose from various forms of memory cards, each with unique characteristics. For instance, you might need something with high capacity, perfect for large video streaming files. In this case, an SDHC memory card would be the best solution. However, the marketplace also offers memory cards such as the micro-sd or mini-sd, which is ideal for smaller electronic devices. Although this memory card does not offer as much capacity, it still adds tremendous value.
